Additional program information

An excursion during the World Port Days provides the perfect opportunity to gain access to places you’d otherwise never see. You also get the chance to learn more about the Port of Rotterdam and the companies in and around the Port. Thanks to these excursions, companies that are usually inaccessible to visitors now open their doors and places that you’d never normally (be allowed to) see are now accessible.

In order to join the excursions during World Port Days you must have an admission ticket. You can book tickets online via this website from 12 pm Monday 21 August.

During the event there will be an information centre and an excursion ticket office in Katendrecht on board the ss Rotterdam at 3e Katendrechtsehoofd. There will also be a last minute ticket office on the Wilhelminapier near the Rijhavenbrug & on the Willemskade near Spido harbour tours. You can purchase the last excursion tickets here.

Breathtaking stunts, spectacular acts, power and nautical skills. With the water programme, Rotterdam shows what it’s made of. Experience this from the Erasmusbrug or Willemskade. Viewing stands will be set up at the Wilhelminakade so you can sit down and watch. The schedule of the nautical demonstrations is below. This contains all dates and times for every demonstration. This year the Rijnhaven is the area for watersports and leisure. Young sailors can have fun on the water and various water sports competitions will be taking place there. Don’t miss the Rijnhaven programme and watch from a seat on the stand. For the latest programme details, see the website.

Location: Nieuwe Maas, Holland Amerikakade and Rijnhaven.

Eveningshow: Saterday 3 September 21.00 – 22.45 hours.

There is so much to see and do on the quays in the Scheepvaartkwartier (Parkkade, Westerkade, Veerhaven, Willemskade, and Willemsplein), along the Rijnhaven and on the Wilhelminapier. Many businesses and organisations will be providing public access to their ships, cranes, and other impressive port equipment. There is something for everyone. Visit the different locations and take the ferry service. You can find more information about the businesses taking part in the activities on the docks on the map on the other side.
